What is a girl (or guy) going to do if she's hankering for some Italian food but does not want to spend a fortune? Pachino Trattoria and Pizzeria would be a fine choice. It's a small and quaint little restaurant in the heart of the Financial District of San Francisco. It has a simple menu with decent prices for fairly good quality. I didn't have a chance to try their pastas but they ranged about $16 or so. But I digress....
Beef Carpaccio with Capers, Arugula, and Parmesan

This was a refreshing and simple appetizer. The lemon juice, capers, and cheese gave this dish a little bit more depth in flavor. It was a good deal for the amount of slices you get. [3.5/5]
Pesto Pizza with Sausage, Onion, Pancetta, Mozaarella, and Spinach

This was a 9 to 10 inch pizza ideal for two people (one if your appetite was voracious). Their pizza was not greasy and the crust was fluffy. They were very generous in the spinach, pancetta, and sausage, and one could taste the pesto through the mozzarella. It was a very satisfying pizza. [3.5/5]
Overall Score: [3.5/5] This is a great date spot. It's quiet and intimate while the quality of the food is good without hurting the wallet.
